Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Overview of the service

ModShield is a hosted moderation service for Discord servers and Telegram groups, operated by Deloxity, LLC. It provides automated moderation (link and invite filtering, flood and raid protection, content filtering, quarantine, anti-nuke and optional AI moderation) and a web dashboard to configure it. These Terms govern your access to and use of the bot, the dashboard and related services (together, the “Service”).

The Service is offered with a free plan and optional paid Premium plans. Published list prices are $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year for Premium. Checkout may not be live yet — when paid plans become available for purchase, the pricing and billing terms shown at checkout form part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a legal guardian, to use the Service. You must also comply with the terms of the platforms you use it on — Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and Telegram's Terms of Service. Using the Service where it is prohibited by law is not permitted.

3. Your account and security

An account is required to use the dashboard. You agree to:

  • provide accurate information when registering;
  • keep your credentials and linked platform accounts secure;
  • be responsible for everything done under your account or by a member you invite;
  • notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. You are responsible for how you configure it

This is the most important term on this page. The Service acts on your instructions: it deletes messages, applies timeouts, quarantines members, and can kick or ban them, according to the filters, thresholds and policies you enable for your server.

  • You decide which filters run, how strict they are, and what action they take.
  • You are responsible for moderation outcomes on your server, including false positives.
  • You are responsible for telling your members that automated moderation is in use, where the law in your jurisdiction requires it.
  • Only enable the Service on servers or groups you are authorised to administer.

Automated moderation is imperfect by nature. We build for safe failure — uncertain cases fail in the harmless direction, and actions such as quarantine are reversible — but we do not warrant that the Service will catch every violation, or that it will never act on a message it should have left alone.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break the law, or facilitate illegal activity;
  • harass, target or surveil individuals or groups;
  • infringe intellectual property rights;
  • gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' data, or the servers it runs on;
  • probe, scan, overload or otherwise interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
  • resell, sublicense or build a competing service from it without our written permission.

Misuse may lead to immediate suspension or termination without notice.

6. Plans and payments

Free includes the core hosted moderation features described on the Service website, at no charge. Premium is an optional paid plan at $2.99/month or $29.99/year (USD), with the benefits listed on the pricing page at the time of purchase (for example higher AI budgets, higher limits, and priority support). Feature details may change; the checkout page is authoritative for what you buy.

When checkout is enabled, paid plans are billed through our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record and handles billing enquiries and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. Any refund policy in force at the time of purchase applies. Until checkout is enabled, you may use the free plan without a payment method.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available with minimal downtime, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features at any time. We may also impose reasonable usage limits to keep the Service stable and fair for everyone.

8. Data and privacy

Running a moderation bot means processing messages. What we process, why, how long we keep it, and what happens when AI moderation is enabled, is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it — it is short and specific.

9. Intellectual property

The Service — its source code, dashboard, design, name and logo — is the property of Deloxity, LLC and is not open source. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted Service. You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, redistribute or create derivative works from it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deloxity, LLC is not liable for:

  • moderation outcomes resulting from the configuration you chose, including false positives and false negatives;
  • service unavailability, downtime, or delays;
  • loss or corruption of data;
  • acts, errors or outages of third parties, including Discord, Telegram and any AI provider;
  • indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of profits, goodwill or community.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server or group and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, suspected abuse or fraud, or where required for legal compliance.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, the law, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
